Aussies....Ball Tampering Incident.

OK, they have been caught bang to rights.
I hate that Steve Smith anyway so don't feel sorry for him.

Can't help thinking though. They all seem to be at it.
Hope this leads to the whole test scene getting a revamp. I can't put my finger on why but put it this way. I used to take the time off work and watch all 5 days when Botham and Co were playing. Went to see Kent a lot. Did the Tests at the Oval and Lords as well. Nowadays can't stand more than about 30 minutes of it on TV....Where has it all gone wrong?

To me the positive side of this is that the reaction of the players to the consequences of all this (Smith & Bancroft at least) will hopefully act as a CAUTIONARY TALE to other players and youngsters.
I still think James Sutherland and former egg chaser Pat Howard either have to consider THEIR positions. Or better have it done for them.
Any reboot of culture needs new leadership which to be fair to Lehmann (who I’ve never been much of a fan of) he acknowledged in his resignation.

The bloke has taken a MASSIVE fall on this matter.

I have to say (as someone who takes a lot of pleasure in seeing the Australian cricket team trip over their collective dick) that I think the price being paid here far outweighs the nature of the crime.

Yes, they deserve consequences, but it's not as if they've got their team in a seemingly unbeatable position, gone out and placed bets on themselves to lose, and THEN LOST the Test match.

People that HAVE done that, are still lauded as Australian legends.

They should have banned Australia from test cricket for 12 months, but they were probably scared that test cricket could be killed.

Anyway, the punishment is fair enough. They should stop crying and behaving like victims and accept it and move on. The cheating cunts.

this aussie team have made a point to be obnoxious, nasty cunts, the cheating is a side issue to how horrible they are as a collective group of players. watch the run out of de villiers in the first test and how warner behaves having to be held back and seemingly shouting 'cunt' (amongst other things) as one of the game's class acts walks back to the pavilion. everyone knows other players have been caught cheating, but I don't recall Atherton trying to stitch up a junior member of the team

Yet you take it upon yourselves to raise the penalty code and make it so scandalous as if no other team has ever done this before.Ask yourselves If Bangladesh had done this would there be so much fuss ? Of course not. Your emotional hatred for a nationality is clouding your judgement and your morals that are within. These are people that we choose to judge.
